HEYCO Energy Group, Inc., through its subsidiary Petrichor Partners LP, completed its acquisition of UK-based energy firm Egdon Resources plc, the companies announced jointly today. The acquisition, which was unanimously recommended by Egdon’s board of directors in May, marks a new milestone in the 20-year relationship between the two companies.

Egdon Resources PLC announced on Tuesday that the North Sea Transition Authority condition for its purchase by Petrichor Partners LP has been satisfied, further paving the way for a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement.

The company’s board said it intends to unanimously recommend the offer to shareholder’s at its upcoming general meeting.

As part of this year’s program, energy icon George Yates, CEO of Heyco Energy Group, has been selected to receive the Legacy Award.
