ABOUT US

HEYCO brings strategic, technical, and regulatory expertise to its European projects formed over many decades as a successful independent operator in the Permian Basin, one of the most prolific plays in the United States.

HEYCO’s core resources are technical knowledge and management experience applied by a team with proven skills in geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering, international negotiation, drilling, production, and land & operations management.

For more than 20 years, HEYCO has:

• Strategically invested in conventional assets, as well as the largest shale plays, in the UK and Spain
• Built a highly experienced European team of geologists and engineers
• Formed relationships with respected industry leaders and policy-makers
• Positioned itself as a trusted strategic and technical advisor

HEYCO is one of very few U.S. independent natural gas companies with significant exposure in the European shale industry.

For several decades, HEYCO operated in the Permian’s Delaware Basin, with lease positions in all of the prominent horizontal plays such as in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Bone Springs Sand. HEYCO pioneered the Bone Springs as a conventional play, drilling hundreds of wells beginning in the 1980s.

In 2015, HEYCO’s subsidiary, Harvey E. Yates Company, was acquired by Matador Resources (MTDR) for an equity position in the company.
