EUROPE

HEYCO Energy Group adds value to international projects by providing strategy, technical expertise, regulatory advice, and a network of expert contacts formed over many decades as a successful independent operator in the Permian Basin, one of the most prolific plays in the United States.

For more than 20 years, HEYCO has:

  • Strategically invested in the largest shale plays in the UK and Spain
  • Secured concessions with an estimated 86 TCF of initial gas in place net to our interest
  • Formed relationships with respected industry leaders and policy-makers
  • Positioned itself as a trusted strategic and technical advisor

HEYCO is one of very few U.S. independent natural gas companies with significant exposure in the European shale industry.

SPAIN

HEYCO Energy Iberia, a wholly owned subsidiary of HEYCO Energy Group, operates a producing well and gas plant in Spain’s La Rioja region, with multiple natural gas development wells planned.

Eighty-five percent of Spain’s indigenous natural gas is currently produced at the Viura field, making HEYCO and its partners, including the Basque National Oil Company (SHESA), the largest producers in the country.

Additionally, HEYCO, with longtime partner SHESA, holds several licenses in Spain’s Basque Country covering the entire Gran Enara project (Valmaseda Formation).

UNITED KINGDOM

Through subsidiaries and affiliates, HEYCO has a number of onshore licenses in England, with active exploration, appraisal, and development projects, with 100k net acres. HEYCO was part of the group that discovered the Avington field in southern England in 2007.

A HEYCO subsidiary was granted non-operated working interest in the onshore UK East Midlands Basin as a result of the 14th onshore bidding round. The permits granted represent 27,200 net acres in the highly prospective Bowland Shale play and also have potential in conventional reservoirs.
