George M. Yates
President & CEO
George Yates is the president and CEO of HEYCO Energy Group, Inc., an exploration and investment company, with offices in Roswell, New Mexico and Dallas, Texas. Yates has served as chairman of several industry organizations, including the Independent Petroleum Association of America, the Natural Gas Council, Mountain States Legal Foundation, the Business Industry Political Action Committee, and the Independent Petroleum Association of New Mexico. Yates sits on the board of Matador Resources Company, a public energy company. He won the oil and gas industry’s prestigious Chief Roughneck Award in 2004 and was inducted into the Rocky Mountain Oil & Gas Hall of Fame in 2009. Yates holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management executive education program.
Vice President & General Counsel
Per Juvkam-Wold is the vice president of HEYCO Energy Group. Previously he specialized in transfer pricing at Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the IRS Advance Pricing Agreement Program. Juvkam-Wold holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
International Commercial Manager
Tara Lewis joined an affiliate of HEYCO Energy Group (HEYCO) in 1998, became HEYCO’s vice president in 2001, and a Board member in 2004. Today, as international commercial manager, Lewis manages the company’s international partner relations. Previously she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), the U.S. Department of Energy, and at Apache Corporation. In addition to serving on HEYCO’s Board, Lewis is a Special Advisor to the Board of Matador Resources. Lewis serves as Chairman of IPAA’s international steering committee and participates in the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association (TIPRO) and the Texas Lyceum. She graduated from Rice University with a B.A. and received a law degree from the University of Houston.
ohn Underwood joined HEYCO Energy Group’s affiliate, Yates Company International, in 1993 and assumed his current role in 1999. Underwood is responsible for the quality of exploration programs and prospect generation as well as the design, acquisition, processing, and interpretation of geophysical data. He also evaluates third-party prospects and represents the company on various technical committees in non-operated international ventures. Underwood previously worked as a geophysicist at Mobil Oil Corporation, Union Texas Petroleum Company, and Permian Exploration Corporation. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Society of Exploration Geophysicist, an active member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), and was a past president of the Southwest Section of the AAPG. He is a Certified Petroleum Geophysicist. Underwood graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a B.Sc. in Engineering Physics and a minor in Geophysics.
Managing Director, Data & Analytics
Carlos Ofosu is the managing director of data and analytics at HEYCO Energy Group. He has more than a decade of experience in the energy industry spanning several verticals including exploration & production, oilfield services, as well as power transmission. Ofosu holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with an energy concentration and an executive MBA, both from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
Mauri Whitacre Hinterlong
Mauri Whitacre Hinterlong is the general counsel at HEYCO Energy Group. Prior to joining HEYCO, she practiced law at a regional law firm focusing on the oil and gas industry and commercial real estate. Hinterlong holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Vanderbilt University and a law degree from Marquette University.
Spanish Country Manager
Prior to joining HEYCO Energy Group as Petrichor Resources’ country manager, the Spanish, Alameda served as the general manager of the Spanish Unconventional Hydrocarbons Association and lastly. David Alameda has more than 17 years of engineering, construction, and project management experience in mainly oil and gas and energy projects. With a deep experience in different phases of energy projects including resource assessment, site selection and permitting, feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED, technical support to project financing with International Financial Institutions (WB, IFC, BID, EIB, AFD, KFW, AFBD), detailed design, EPC Bid evaluations, construction and commissioning. Anna M. Carreon
Anna Carreon has worked for HEYCO Energy Group for nearly 20 years. Carreon's previous work experience includes working as a legal assistant for two major law firms, as an accountant for the Army Air Force Exchange Services, and as an elementary school teacher in the Department of Defense system in Okinawa Japan. Additionally, Carreon has been major supporter of her husband’s 30-year military career throughout the world, and a mother to their daughter Alicia. Carreon earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the College of Santa Fe.
